Narrative description of Project:
To develop the Strategy and Work Programmes for UNECAP to play its role effectively for Trade Facilitation and Paperless Trading Development for Asia and the Pacific member states.  
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
• Study and identify the specific areas, activities, expertise, tools, measures and recommendations of trade facilitation related organizations and groups, including ADB, ASEAN, APEC, World Bank, World Customs Organization, World Trade Organization, UN/CEFACT, AFACT, UN/ECE, and UNCTAD.
• Identify the scope and areas/activities for cooperative actions of UNESCAP with the afore-mentioned organizations and groups.
• Assess the trade facilitation needs, priorities, and desired directions of the Asia and Pacific region in general at the macro-level.
• Establish a long term vision, role and niche of UNESCAP trade facilitation initiatives
• Design the UNESCAP Trade Facilitation Strategy and Plans of Actions to promote efficient and secure trade for the Asia-Pacific region including the development of ICT-enabled Single-Window Paperless Trading to be implemented under the “Regional Cooperation framework/mechanism for trade facilitation in the Asia and Pacific region
• Develop a mechanism for monitoring, reviewing and assessing progresses
