Narrative description of Project:
The project facilitates APEC member economies and enhances their capacity in document simplification and data harmonization through the provision of Handbook for Data Harmonization and Core-Component-Based Electronic Message Development and arrangement of Train-the-Trainer Workshop.  
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:
• Organize 2-day Capacity Building Symposium on Data Harmonization towards Single Window Paperless Trading Environment - including the resolutions/recommendations proposed for the ways forward concerning data harmonization and data modeling within APEC member economies.
• Organize 5-day Training Workshop on Data Modeling and Harmonization - the training course structure, training materials and e-document data modeling case exercises can be used and repeated for future training courses.
• Develop the APEC Handbook for Data Harmonization and Core-Component-Based Electronic Message Development, as a step by step guidebook for data modeling activities
• Promote the Network of Expertise on Paperless Trading (UN NExT) particularly on Data Harmonization, as initiated by UNESCAP and UNECE.
• Work on Data Requirements Capturing and Data Modeling of customs declaration, cargo reports, certificates of origin, sanitary and phyto-sanitary certificates for 8 APEC member economies.
